Homemade Gluten Free Pasta

Tonight I successfully made from scratch gluten free fettucini! I loved doing this. It brought back so many memories from childhood from making pasta with my mom, which she did a lot! Plus nothing can beat fresh homemade pasta!

The recipe only had 3 ingredients:

gluten free flour
eggs yolks
white wine

The receipe called for
1 cup of gluten free flour
4 egg yolks
1/4th cup white wine

I did this and it was a complete mess. The dough was so gooey and unmanageable,so I added about 2 cups more of flour

I just mixed the 3 ingredients together and put them through my pasta machine and viola! The noodles cooked for about 3 minutes. It was a success and tasted really good!!

Gluten Free Candy (That's Good For You!)

I am on my way to being a total health nut. I love eating organic and I'm sure people are going to think I am a crazy mom someday. That's because I want to have only 100% organic, no gmo, and gluten free foods in my home, and my kids eating only that. So people may think I'm crazy, but I won't care because my family and I will just be crazy healthy. :)
The foods that people eat today are awful. We are getting so many cancers and sicknesses. It's only a matter of time that people will realize it's caused by their foods and start making health a priority.

A common misconception is that if you eat only organic, everything is gross. Well I'm here to prove that isn't true! Because I have a new favorite "candy." And let me tell you, I have never had any better!

They are Surf Sweets and I picked them up from Akins Natural Food Market in Springfield. The ingredients in these are all natural and the sugar just comes from the fruit. Plus there is no high fructose corn syrup!! And of course notice the "gluten free" bubble.

These are delicious and a great alternative to candy! You also don't feel gross after eating them. :)

Featured Resturant ~ HuHots

HuHot Mongolian Grill is one of the best resturants I have been to that really care about allergies. When I went they provided a special allergy menu that lists every sauce and ingredient and what allergens they contain.

This was VERY helpful. I had no clue some of the sauces I use to get contain gluten.

When I went up to the grill to get my food, they cleaned it very thoroughly and put barriers up so my food wouldn't get cross contaminated. I was impressed!

Verdict: HuHot is a very accommodating place to eat if you have a gluten allergy.

Kiss My Face ~ Gluten Free Beauty

If you have celiac disease it is important to look for gluten in absoutely everything. Even your beauty products! When I visit all natural stores most of the makeup products say "gluten free." This is because a lot of the makeup and body products sold at drugstores contain gluten.

A great line of products that are gluten free are by a brand named Kiss My Face. I have been using Kiss My Face products since I was little. Kiss My Face is a fantastic company that strives to make the world a better place by creating products that are natural, healthy, earth friendly, and economically friendly. They create soaps, lotions, shampoos, sunscreens, shaving creams, facial products, and some makeup.

All their products have extremely low toxicity ratings from Enviornmental Working Group. This is awesome as I am trying to detox my bathroom and use only products under level 2.

This soap is biodegradable, paraben free, phthalate free, SLS free, vegan friendly, not tested on animals, and most importantly gluten free! This soap smells fantastic, works great on face or body, and isn't bad for you! I highly reccommend their products. You will love them!

Loving Italian food as much as I do, pizza has always been a food I crave. So when I found out I was allergic to gluten I knew my pizza eating days would be over. But that's not true! Not only can you buy some really great frozen ones at the grocery stores, but more and more pizza places are recognizing gluten allergies.
 
I work at Pizano's Pizza in Willard and encouraged them to start carrying gluten free, and now they do!

Families come in all the time that say they usually never go out for pizza because one of their children is allergic. People are always so happy that we provide this!

I am happy my suggestion is helping the buisness gain customers and make people happy!

Of course I was the first one to try one. They are delicious!
